The ADM-Kenya project results were presented at the EO for Africa Symposium 2024, held from September 23-26 at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. The event gathered Earth Observation (EO) experts, researchers, and policymakers focused on using EO to address environmental and developmental challenges in Africa.
ADM-Kenya representatives shared updates on solutions developed for agricultural drought monitoring, created in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, ICIPE, and RCMRD. These tools include processing chains for crop condition assessment, drought risk mapping, and downscaled evapotranspiration data, all designed to support local decision-making in managing drought impacts on agriculture.

The presentation led to discussions on the possibility of applying these methods in other regions across Africa, highlighting EO’s role in supporting sustainable agriculture and food security.
